We finally have a Peep Hole!

WOW!! 3 post in one day! HA HA! I am on a role.

When we first moved in to our home, we didn't have a peep hole and we even had a guy come by and offered to install one for $75 dollars!! SMH! We passed. So last week, we had a friend tell us that her husband installed their peep hole for $5 AND In 10 MINUTES! We had to do this!

Mr. B headed off to Lowe's and picked us up one for $5.22 and was done in under 10 minutes indeed. We are so happy that we didn't pay that guy for something that was so easy to do.

This is the one we got- Gatehouse Oil-Rubbed Bronze Door Viewer:
http://www.lowes.com/pd_308867-54546-23369ORBLG_0__?productId=3079953&Ntt=peep+hole&pl=1&currentURL=&facetInfo=

Instructions on how we installed our Peep Hole:
  1. Locate the 9/16 drill bit. This is the size that they said you would need on the Peep hole package. You want to make sure that the drill works for the door that you have. So you may need to adjust the size to your needs.
  2. Locate where you want the hole placed on your door and mark it with a pencil.
  3. Drill a hole completely through from the inside
  4. Clean out all of the sand dust
  5. Separate the Peep Hole
  6. Insert the front end first through the hole and then the back.
  7. Then just screw it in until it is secure
  8. You are now DONE!

                                                                      Our Results!

                                                                        The Outside

The Inside

I hope that you like and that you will try this if you don't have a Peep Hole currently.

My new 5 Mile WATP DVD!

I am so in love with my new DVD! I have been buying Leslie's DVD for over 6 years now and I really love all of her workouts. Since I was doing an August Challenge, I decided to freshen up my library. She really work you out with this DVD. You get in 5 miles that includes strength training with the resistance band, a resistance band, boosted walking/jogging, squats, and lunges. I really think that this DVD alone has help me get into the slacks that I couldn't at the beginning of this August challenge.

I got my DVD from Amazon for less than $12! Check if out if you need a great workout at a great price!

The 60 Day Update!

Hello everyone! I have hit the 60 day mark of my weight-loss journey and I have seen big changes.

Here are some of the changes:

•I can now run up my stairs and don't give out of breath going up or down.
•I can now fit in my size 22 dress pants (from a size 26)
 •I can now do a 5 mile Walk-Away-The-Pounds workout
•I am feeling great in general
•I am getting more confidence, especially when I am in front of a large crowd

So I love these changes and will keep it up! I really would like to reach my goal slowly over time.

The things that I have been doing consistently to lose the weight:
•Drinking one of my Shakeology Shakes every morning (Including Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, and some fruits)
•Drinking on average 16 cups of water (equivalent to 128oz)
•Working out at least 4-6 times a week (walking, WATP DVDs)
•Eating what I want but using Myfitnesspal.com to track my calories
  • Eating a lot of fruit and veggies
  • Eating Protein with my meals
•Staying within my 1500 daily calories. That includes the calories used from working out. (I initially was not eating the calories that I lost from working out and I was not seeing results~ For Example: I need to eat 1500 calories, complete a workout that was 500 calories lost, and I only eat 1500 calories. In the end I was only putting in 1000 calories, which was not enough to lose weight every week.)
•Use the general rule to only eat half of my meal when going out to restaurants to eat
I keep moving by parking a little farther from where I am going and taking swimming lessons
If you would like to find out more about the Shakes that I drink or the workouts that I do, check out my beach body websites:

Fruits?? Veggies?? Important in Weight-loss!!!? Who Would Have Thought It!

Hello everyone! On last week, I didn't lose any weight :-( I did lose some inches though. I even managed to go up a couple of pounds. I had a friend give me some tips about cutting out flour and yes, even wheat flour/breads. I thought about what was different from when I was losing the weight at the beginning of my journey and I realized that I ate a lot of fruits in my smoothies and throughout the day. I also had nice portions of veggies (cabbage, squash, asparagus, salads and more). But the last couple of weeks I had become hooked on Fiber One Bars and dried Veggie and Apple Chips from The Fresh Market. I mean I LOVED THESE CHIPS AND BARS! I guess I figured that they were “good for me” and “Since I am staying under my calories”, that it was all good. Well after actually gaining a couple of pounds last week, I had to re-evaluate some things. I cut back on my Fiber One Bars and Chips. I replaced them with my cherries, strawberries and peaches AND....

I AM BACK ON THE LOSING TRACK!!! So guess what?? Fruit and Vegetables are very important in weight loss. You cannot substitute anything for them either. Who would have thought it!? HA HA!!

Get your Fresh Fruit and Veggie on!

August's Challenge has BEGUN!!!

Hello Folks!! I really can't believe that it is August already! I have started on my August's Challenge of walking 60 miles while using my Walk-Away-The-Pound DVDs. Anything else that I do is just extra. I took pictures on yesterday to compare to the pictures that I will take at the end of the month/challenge. I have also taken my measurements. So far I have done 7/60 miles and it is only August 2nd! HA HA!! I am thinking that I can blow this challenge out of the water :-) I will be sure to make small updates along the way. I have been hitting between 16-and 19 cups of water! Hopefully I can increase my intake to be closer to my goal of 1 gallon every day. I am using the android app called "drinking water" to help me out with this!

My calories burned during today's walk. :-D
 Wishing you a great day!
