June 25??? Here Already!

Wow! I can't believe that it has almost been a year since I have have been married. :-) The time really flew by. Mr. B. and I are headed to GA to celebrate our anniversary that is Monday. We are staying at an all inclusive bed and breakfast. We even get to get a freshly baked version of our wedding cake from our baker. We are so excited about that. I will be sure to take plenty of pictures and have a full post and review of the bed and breakfast. Until next time, take care. :-)

Thank you Lord for loving me!

This verse greeted me this morning. :-)Thank you Lord for loving me when I didn't even love myself! Lamentations 3:22-23 22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; 23 they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

The Journey! Weight loss that is!

Whelp! I was going to wait until tomorrow to post about my weight loss journey, but had it on my heart to do it tonight. I have pretty much been "Extra Thick" most of my life. You may ask why now or what make this time different (I have lost weight before and gained it back! :-( ). Well I lost my grandmother about a month ago to diabetes and lung cancer (By the way, Cancer... YOU SUCK! ). Seeing her in her final days really did something to me. She was in so much pain that she really didn't recognize or knew that we were there with her. Also my grandfather recently pleaded with me to lose weight (tears). So I am ready to make this life style change. This time I plan on keeping a journal and cutting out things a little bit at a time.

There is a gym and trainer at my job and today I had an assessment done. :-( I was really shock that I weigh as much as I do. I guess it could be because I haven't been on a scale since I got married almost a year ago! LORD! (Shaking my head). I think it will help me by blogging about it. If you have any tips or just some encouraging words to help me along on this journey, I would really appreciate it. I will leave you with my weight. I promise to post a full list of my measurements later and pictures.  Recently I heard someone say something that is so true when you think about it. "How many old fat people do you see around?" Not many do you! I want to be around to see my grand kids.

My current weight is........

360lbs!

PLEASE PRAY FOR ME ON THIS JOURNEY!

Checks off of the "Honey Do" List :-)

Good Evening Everyone! To tell you a little bit more about myself, I teach engineering classes part time and you may end up seeing some things from that part of my life! HA! Interesting times.

My husband and I just purchased our first home and we so love it! But there are so many things that I want to change! :-D So far off of the "Honey Do" List, I have worried my husband enough   convinced Mr. B to change out the sink faucet, install towel storage, put together the pantry, to mount 2 of our TVs, and to install the delta shower heads that I got from Sam's Club for $29.98 each!!!! SCORE! Did I mention that all of this has been done in the last 3 weeks! That is just how I roll! LOL!

Surprisingly, he has said that we will help me with most of the projects!! **gasps** So I will work on doing a better job of documenting the process of our many projects to come. But of course we have pictures of all the things that we have done so far. You like how I said we huh... LOL!! What...I was there to help hold things for him. :-)

This Faucet took about 1.5 days to get out and replace!! Mr. B was SOO.. Happy! LOL!!
The faucet is also a delta faucet.

The pantry that we got from Big Lots! Love it!

The awesome shower heads that was $29.98!

Hi!

Wow!! My first post! Coming via my phone. Well my name is Mrs. B and I have wanted to start a personal blog for quite some time now. I wanted a place to show my creativity with DIY projects for my new home, document my weightloss journey, document trips (I Love to travel with my Hubby , Mr. B), and just as a journal of some sort. I am a recently married engineer that love to do the girly things in life. Which really is not the norm when you think of an engineer. But that is me! Ha! Strange you say. Well maybe. Lol! Please come in to check out all there is to being a Girly Engineer. :-)
